May the grace of Jesus Christ
and the love of God
and the fellowship of the Spirit
be with us.

The Lord bless us and keep us,
his face shine upon us,
his grace and his peace rest on us.

Bible Passages: 0; 2 Cor 13:14
Themes: Trinity, Grace, Peace

The song came out of a desire to find a simple way of putting 'the grace’ (2 Corinthians 13:14) to music. It would obviously fit most naturally at the close of a service, and so it seemed appropriate to include the words of the Aaronic Blessing (Numbers 6:24-26) as well. It’s a song in which we are singing the words to one another; more than that, we are pronouncing them over one another. We often sing songs in a God-direction but perhaps don’t sing enough in a church-direction - reminding ourselves who we are and what God has spoken over us.
