Web Application Developer (Laravel)

Contract: Permanent 0.6 FTE (with some flexibility)

The Song & Hymn Writers Foundation (SHWF) is a UK charity dedicated to promoting excellence in Christian songwriting and resourcing the worshipping church. For 60 years, through initiatives like Jubilate, Resound Worship and the 12 Song Challenge, we’ve been helping the church sing in ways that glorify God, grow disciples, and build community.
The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Web Application Developer to join our small charity staff team to design, build, and maintain online platforms in support of our mission. You’ll work with colleagues and skilled volunteers on:
Songclub - community songwriting platform (currently 12 Song Challenge)
Churchsongs - publishing rights management
Resound Worship & Jubilate - e-commerce music websites
About You
- Strong skills in Laravel, PHP, MySQL, and modern web technologies
- Experience with Git and team-based deployment workflows
- Knowledge of security best practice and data protection
- Clear communicator, detail-oriented problem solver, and collaborative

This role is UK-based and open only to applicants with the legal right to work in the UK. We are unable to sponsor visas.
