Resound Worship: Hymns - recording event

Come and sing with us!

We're recording an album of hymns. Taking texts from our sister organisation, Jubilate, adding contemporary Resound Worship tunes, and recording them together with our friends.

We're excited to record tunes written by members of the 12 Song Challenge community, alongside some from the usual Resound Worship team.

The recording takes place in the unique and picturesque setting of Woodhouse Eaves Baptist Church near Loughborough. Musicians and singers and congregation will be scattered, mingled around the octagonal space, creating the sound together. We're aiming for a low-fi, acoustic vibe with most arrangements based around piano trio, with just a hint of jazz/gospel/country/seashanty thrown in here or there.

Registering means we'll send you advance copies of the hymns so that you can get to know them before you come, including a few special 'congregational' parts where we split up and do some cool things.

Drinks and snacks will be provided and lunch is bring-your-own. Woodhouse eaves has several shops, a cafe and several pubs. if the weather is good, we can use the beautiful church garden with view stretching out over the fields.

There is street parking in the village, or free parking in the nearby Village Hall Car Park.

The event is a recording, and live videos will be filmed for some of the songs. Booking and attendance will indicate consent that you're happy with this. There is no special dress code, but wear something you wouldn't mind being seen in I suppose!

There's no charge for the event, but when booking there is an oportunity to make a voluntary contribution towards some of the costs.
